Mr Nathan invited everyone in Mediacorp who participated in the recent President’s Star Charity show to the Grand Ballroom in the Istana for a reception just to say “thank you”. And of course I accepted his invite! I’ve never been inside the Istana ever so I am really curious to know how it looks like inside.

As we were driving into the Istana with the sun-setting in the backgroud, the view was simply picturesque, just like a painting! There’s a 9-hole golf course inside the compounds for Members of the Parliament and a couple of wandering swans on the lawn! The Istana’s huge! Around 16 hectres big if I’m not wrong….. can’t imagine what’s it like to upkeep such a big home!

One thing I really wanted to do when I was in the Istana was to shake the President’s hand and take a photo with him! (I know I sound like a tourist or something but it’s rare to have a photo taken with a President! And not just A President, it’s Singapore’s) Was really really happy when I got my photo with him! *HAHAH*

After that was accomplished, I just mingled around and enjoyed the buffet spread and went camera crazy with the rest who were there! 😛
