Hello everyone!
I just ran the Nike Human Race earlier this afternoon! Completed the 10km in 64min, it’s slightly slower than what I normally do but it’s expected because there was such a great turnout there today! Couple of congestion along the route due to the narrow pathways and thousands of runners all trying to go thru them! Furthermore the route consists of numerous up and down slopes which made the run slightly more challenging. It was really fun to run through concerts along the way and through Boat Quay & Clarke Quay! I really wonder what was going on in the diners minds as this whole flood of red sweaty shirts bypassed them! A couple of the tourists were amused and joined in the fun by cheering us on! Really cute!
The Concert Festival after the race was a great way to wind up the whole event as the music boosted up the whole atmosphere. It’s really a race I’ve never been in before and I must say I had a great time!
This wonderful guy – Aik Leong (I hope I spelt his name correctly!) was my pacer and he really took very good care of me during the run! Thank you!!!! He made sure I was keeping a good pace, ensured my well-being and kept me updated on my timing and distance! I really appreciated what he did for me! So happy and lucky to have such a great guy to pace me! Can’t ask for a better one! 🙂
Bumped into Maria! (aka Evelyn Ng) We did the Life Story Ang Peng Siong ep together, so nice to meet up with her again! In between us is her friend running with her, Kimarie.
Giving Dan the Man our Lurve, Sweat & Blood!
With Ee-Lyn & Andrea.
After completing the race, everyone was given this finisher bracelet and it has “Singapore” engraved onto it! How special!
XOXO
Jess
