Mika’s been suffering from constipation lately and I think it’s cos of the high protein diet that I’ve been feeding her lately. Changed her wet food to Wellness 95% meat ones (cos read somewhere that it’s one of the best arnd) and she stopped pooing her regular day and night poo poo routine! Her dry food remained the same so it must be the high protein diet that’s causing it. So I started mixing her wet food with Addiction NZ Venison & Apples cos it has apples in it and Mika LOVES apples! And her poo poo is coming back! Was sooooo worried for her cos there were times she tried to squeeze some poo poo out and nothing happened.
Lesson to learn: too high a protein diet is not good for Mika! Don’t know if other dogs are the same but Addiction did help her out and she loves her wet food (more than her dry) no surprises there!
Oh, and I’ve been bringing Mika to Sentosa to run around Palawan Beach lately and she loves playing with the dogs there! She hates swimming tho! So Cute!

Gotta watch Mika’s butt….if u see any swelling near the anus…gotta bring her to the vet. Had that happening to Sassy.

Oh yes! I check it everytime I shower her, saw it on dirty jobs that U have to clear the anal gland often if not it’ll be infected. I squeezed it to clear it all the time and it seems clean as nothing comes out. 🙂 Gross I know!

You may want to try give your dog a dose of apple cider vinegar?Because it helps to aid digestion and amongst all other things:) I fed my dog a daily dose of that vinegar and she look and feel great:) I gave her apple cider vinegar from Bragg, which could be found in local cold storage.

Hi Ane! Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve been including apple cider vinegar powder (grinned from a tablet from GNC) into Mika’s food on alternate days since U told me abt it. And Mika’s tum tum & bowel movement is a lot more consistent again! 🙂 I think the high protein diet from her wet food made her constipated. Now she’s a happy doggie once again! 😛
