So updating my blog with photos will be back soon when I’m done transferring all my data and getting an adaptor for a memory stick for my new laptop.

Hi Alvin,
Bought a HP Pavilion dv2 cos was looking for a slim, light and highly portable laptop that is reasonably priced. Wanted to stick to Sony but the lightweight ones are all above 2k. 🙂 Now getting used to using Vista. 😦 and transferring my stuff over. My Sony Vaio is getting really cranky! It starts up with a blank screen & I’ve to reboot it like 5 times b4 the screen comes back! Sigh…. Gave me a lot of headaches. And my PC at home decided to hang itself at the same time!!! Grrrrr…
Oh well, reading ur entry reminded me of my hdd which decided to die on me afew mths back… I was in the process of transferring my data as backup and poof, it died… Got IT pple and frens who are gd in IT to help me retrieve those data, but totally in vain… There goes my hundreds of photos and songs… So sad!!! =(((
Omigod! Ur case is so much more worse than mine! But I’d experienced HDD crashing on me b4 too when I was flying and tons of my overseas pics went poof too!!! ( Lucky it was not a lot) Sigh… That’s why I back up a lot more often than last time! Just so sad that I’ve to give up my laptop for another, feels like I’m changing a boyfriend – have to adapt to the new one! haha…

HP is quite a reliable brand…Fujitsu too. My wife has a Fujitsu and it has lasted her almost 5 years without being sent for repairs.
Dun it irritate u that when technological inventions (such as laptops and PCs etc) go cranky on us….they all choose to do so at the same time???
My laptop’s hard disk died on me……TWICE!!! And I did not back up in time….so a lot of my music and photos can never be found again. SIGH!!!
And then I lost my work thumbdrive…..SIGH SIGH!

Yah, I’ve a very good impression on Fujitsu since university days cos my friends who bought toshiba then always had problems and those who bouht Fujitsu never did! (And I never owned a laptop then! haha)
Yah, it’s horrible how reliant we are on technology and once it gives up on us we suffer! 😦
Hope this laptop will last me for a long time! Cos I don’t like changes in my life!
