UP The Movie

I went to the gala premiere of the movie, Up, last Sunday at The Cathay and expected it to be a cutesy G rated movie with a normal and predictable storyline, but it totally exceeded my expectations and BLEW me away! no pun intended! 😛

It was entertaining, highly emotional when U get more & more attached to each character & loads of fun! It make me want to fly in that house lifted by balloons! And I’ve always loved balloons! (Just afraid of them suddenly bursting) Wanted to take those balloons they were giving away after the movie but was a bit shy to do so… cos only kids took them & I’m no longer a kid! 😛

Do go and watch it with your family, friends and loved ones! For an animation film, I would rate it 8/10.

New Nike Lunar Trainer

Went to attend the trial run in the new Lunar Trainer+ to try out the new shoes and also train up for the Nike Human Race on 31.08.08. Ran for 5 km in those shoes and I felt really bouncy in them and running on the road was a breeze… the soles of the Lunars felt soft and cushiony which prevented the ball of my feet to ache. I’ve rather wide feet so the Lunars wide front is perfect for me! Oh and one more thing I noticed about the shoe was the luminous yellow-green sole is great for people who run at night (i.e. me!) cos it’s so bright and striking that it’s hard not to see you in the darkness of the night! Hee…

And this is the Nike Zoom Victory. I just ran 10km in them yesterday and completed the run in 67min. Don’t know whether the timing is good or not! This Zoom Victory uses some wire technology to hold the shoe and makes it even more lightweight than normal! Amazing…

FHM Thailand

Ms Thailand, Farung (*muacks*), just sms-ed me to tell me that I’m in
this month’s Thai FHM! Shucks… just came back from that place and
could’ve gotten a copy of it!

Shoes Glorious Shoes!

As most people should know by now… I’m a shoes fanatic! I spend most of my shopping money on them!

And this month, I’m proud to showcase 4 of my newest collection! (I need a huge cabinet just for my shoes in my new home!)

My favorite is this pair of Ferragamo 5 1/2inch heels! Previously featured, but this is up close!
Winning qualities: comfort, style (I like the gap in the platform), height of heels and definitely the BRAND!

Aldo takes second place cos of it’s simply unique stilleto!
Winning qualities: Design of stilletoes(totally sold by that!), height of stilletoes, comfort.
3rd Place: Prada lookalike ZARA curved heels.
Winning qualities: I was simply sold cos it looks so much like the current season’s Prada curved heels!
Lastly, this Charles and Keith wooden platform heels.
Winning qualities: wooden platform.

MMMMMMMMmmmmmm Mango!

Recently I was introduced to this wonderful dessert creation!

It’s this mango dessert found in ABC Brickworks Market. The shop owner will shave a bowlful of fine ice almost as soft as snow and he’ll drizzle the ice with evaporated milk, then plops on a dollop of mango puree. After which, he cuts half a slice of fresh mango and puts it on top, adding more evaporated milk and now adding condensed milk. Mmmmmm…. The best thing is that this fresh mango dessert costs an affordable $2! For those mango fans out there, you can add more fresh mango for $1 only upon request. (That’s me of course! My sinful $3 PLEASURE)
